Kerry Lea opened Acting Creatively in 1999 wishing to create an environment that blended the best aspects of her experiences as a young actor. The classes strongly focus on improvisation and are based on creativity, spontaneity and fun! Acting Creatively classes are known to cultivate each child's self-magic and leave students saying, "I can do anything!"
An honors graduate of The Professional Performing Arts School, Ms. Lea's teaching credits include: Feature Film Sets (Dreamworks, Disney), The Papermill Playhouse, NYC P.S. 158, The City & Country School, The Villagers Theatre Conservatory, The NYC Performing Arts Festival, NJ Public Schools, The Solomon Schechter Private Day School, The iPOP Convention, Marriot Marquis NYC, The Young Performers Studio, LA, as well as guest speaking on many panels. She also volunteer teaches in hospitals, community centers, and juvenile detention centers.
As a director, Ms. Lea’s work has been seen on the stages of Lincoln Center, The National Arts Club, The Theatre for the New City, Central Park NYC, Toronto’s Harbourfront Center, The Plaza Hotel, chashama, The Palace of Variety Times Square, as well as many other special event performances and school productions.
Kerry Lea is the creator of the internationally acclaimed outreach troupe *The Acting Creatively Veg Kids* who have shared stages with Ally Sheedy, The B-52’s, Chrissie Hynde, Chevy Chase, Mary Tyler Moore, Linda Blair, Nellie McKay, Peter Max, and many other brilliant speakers, celebrities, and politicians. The kids, ages 4-17, perform their compassionate rock comedy show *VEG-UCATION* written/directed by Ms. Lea.
